Billie Eilish, the 17-year-old goth pop star, has quickly risen to fame this year. She transformed from the “Ocean Eyes” singer to the No. 2 streaming artist on Spotify – falling only behind Ed Sheeran – following the release of her debut album. Now, venues on her ongoing When We All Fall Asleep Tour are being upgraded to meet the high demand.
Late last month, fans were frustrated when Eilish’s Chicago show at the Aragon Ballroom, a 5,000-capacity venue, moved to the 23,500-seat United Center. While many ticketholders had purchased floor seats to the show and were ready for an up-close experience, they were reassigned new seats in random sections throughout the center. Now, fans across Europe will face the same issue as all venues will be upgraded. Eilish’s team noted in a tweet that additional tickets will go on sale, and previously purchased tickets would be redeemable. Additionally, ticketholders would have the option to receive an upgrade.
The venues for Billie’s shows on the European leg of the “WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WORLD TOUR” are being upgraded. Additional tickets will be on sale. If you’ve already purchased tickets, all tickets are still valid. The promoter will reach out for upgrade opportunities.

The upgraded gigs include concerts in cities like Zurich, Milan, Barcelona, and Madrid. Fans are mainly upset because the shows are changing from a small capacity to a large venue, diminishing the “intimate” experience. It is unknown how the ticketing situation will work at this time.

Ahead of the European outing, Eilish will perform across North America; every show at this point is sold out. She’s set to play in Laval, Canada tonight, followed by gigs in Boston, Philadlephia, New York City, Nashville, and Atlanta before a three-day show in Los Angeles. Throughout the summer, she will also make appearances at a handful of festivals like the UK’s Glastonbury, Reading, and Leeds festivals, as well as the Mad Decent Block Party Festival in Foxborough, Lollapalooza Berlin, Life Is Beautiful in Las Vegas, and iHeartRadio Music Festival.
Her debut LP, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? dropped in March. The record features smash-hit singles “bad guy,” “bury a friend,” and “when the party’s over,” which all garnered more than 300,000,000 streams within the past two months.
